1. Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT) | ビジネス日本語能力テスト
Many people take the BJT because it is specialized in business and gives them an advantage in job hunting. The BJT is an exam that measures business communication skills, including unique Japanese expression and behaviors specific to Japanese business culture.

2. Test of Practical Japanese (J.TEST) | 実用日本語検定
Since it covers many questions based on work related situations and themes related Japanese society, it allows learners to acquire practical Japanese. With frequent exam dates, many people take it not only for further studies or job hunting but also as a milestone in their Japanese learning. It is also said to be useful for employment and university admission.

Levels: Starter, beginner-Intermediate, Advanced

3. The Japanese Language NAT-TEST | 日本語NAT‐TEST
Since it's based on the Japanese Proficiency Test(JLPT,) it is sometimes used as preparation for the JLPT. It is commonly used as a gauge of Japanese language proficiency for university entrance examinations and when applying for a Japanese study visa.

4. Japan Kanji Aptitude Test | 日本語漢字能力検定
It tests the ability to understand the meaning of kanji and use them correctly in sentences from various perspectives. Originally a test for native Japanese speakers, but in recent years, more and more non-native candidates have been taking it.
